Yes. GripFree is a companion-pushed transport chair. It doesn’t have large wheels for the person sitting in it to propel themselves. Plan to have a friend, family member or caregiver with you.
What if I’m considering it because of POTS?
People with POTS have different mobility and seating needs. Ask your clinician or occupational therapist whether this type of chair and its seating support are right for you. GripFree is not a treatment for POTS, and sitting upright may not be suitable for everyone.
What should we check when choosing for a parent?
Choose with them. Compare the seat dimensions, weight limit and support with their needs, and check who will push, lift and transport the chair. If they need help with transfers or have specific seating needs, get advice from a qualified professional before buying.
